Please note: Online participation is offered as an alternative only in exceptional cases and will be granted to selected paper presenters who can demonstrate that they are unable to attend the conference in person.

To purchase an online ticket, participants must provide:

All applicants requesting an online ticket: a brief explanation of why they are unable to attend in person.
Students: proof of current student affiliation to qualify for the student rate.
Artists: available exclusively for selected participants in the Music Track (not Papers) who provide a confirmation that they are not affiliated with an institution or are unable to secure funding to support their participation.

Participants requiring supporting documentation for visa or grant applications may request an official invitation letter by contacting us at smc@mbz.hr. Please provide all details to be included in the letter when submitting your request.

Full registration includes:

participation for all 3 days of SMC Conference
lunch and coffee for every day of the conference
Gala dinner

MBZ 2026 is produced by Music Biennale Zagreb. We are unable to provide bursaries or additional discounts for participant. If you require a confirmation of selection for your own grant application, please write to fanny.martin@mbz.hr with all the details you wish to include.

Participants are responsible for covering their own conference-related expenses.
The anticipated costs include:

Conference registration - see above for details. Registration includes three lunches and one conference dinner.
Accommodation: approximately €100–130 per night, depending on accommodation choice.
Travel to and from Zagreb.
Local transportation, additional meals not included in the registration package, and any visa or travel insurance costs.
